Context

The goblins are ready to explain to Grub why they snatched him and brought him to their underground cavern.

Text

GOBLIN (laughing)

Oh, lighten up; life's too humorous not to be taken seriously. And let me pretend to be serious by explaining vhy we grabbed you, habeas corpse, so to speak.

GRUB (voice rising in anger)

I knows why--it's 'cause yer trolls!

(At the mention of "trolls," the goblins genuinely gasp and recoil in horror.)

GOBLIN (stunned by what he just heard)

Trolls? Trolls creep us out. Do you know vhat it takes to creep out a goblin? A LOT!!

I'll admit ve can be naughty.

(Following dialogue is rapid-fire.)

RAFF

We might tap your windows.

RIFF

Or spill your milk.

GOBLIN Pickwick

Or hide your sheep.

GOBLIN Ben

Or untie your water bucket and let it fall down the well.

GOBLIN

But I assure you ve're not our stepmother's half-brother's thirty-second

(Riff taps Goblin on the shoulder and whispers to him)

--thirty-third, if you vish to quibble--cousin to trolls. I give those bad boys a vide berth; I'm too young to die.
