Context
Brianne is a new mother whose baby has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She is overwhelmed by her baby’s diagnosis, but eager to absorb Mary Jane’s advice and wisdom on caring for a child with special needs. Brianne tries very hard to focus on practicalities and to keep her emotions in check. But she is new to the intricacies of home health care and can’t help but cry as Mary Jane talks about what she’s been up against.
