Juan: Yes, I want to be a spy, you know, and stop the Nazis.
Harris: (As if speaking to a child.) But,you are Spanish. It is very important that Spain keeps its neutrality.
Juan: Does Spain appease the lion so that it can be eaten last? Please Mr. Harris.
Harris: (Annoyed for having his time wasted but humouring him. He asks questions that he has asked before.) Rather. Alright then. Do you have any military training?
Juan: Not so much.
Harris: Have you ever even fired a weapon?
Juan: Not at people.
Harris: Do you speak German?
Juan: Nada.
Harris: Well, I see that you can barely speak English. Look Mr. Pujol-
Juan: Please, call me Juan.
Harris: (While speaking, Harris turns a globe sitting on his desk.) Juan. International espionage is a very complicated thing. Our agents move like the wind. Have you ever even been out of Spain?
Juan: (Juan turns the globe.) Yes!
Harris: Was it on a mission?
Juan: Si! (Announcing proudly.) To get scotch!
(Juan spins the globe sending it flying.)
Harris: (Replacing the globe.) Juan, I admire your spirit. But can you be real for just a moment? What can one simple Spanish chicken farmer do against the might of the Nazi war machine?
Juan: Poultry husbandry, and I manage a hotel now. Mr. Harris, what do you know of Spain?
Harris: I have spent a lot of time in Spain. I literally grew up here.
Juan: Then you must know the bullfight.
Harris: Yes, of course, but what does that have to do with-.
CUE 11 TRANS #7
Juan: The bullfight! Everyone knows the bullfight. So, I ask you who is more powerful, the matador, or the bull?
Harris: Well, of course the bull. It is fast and agile, 600 kilos with powerful muscles and deadly horns.
Juan: Ah, yes indeed. But who wins in the end? (A pause. JUAN rises.) You see the slow, weak matador teases the beast, he distracts, and misleads. He enrages the beast, getting it to charge off in the wrong directions, tiring it... until un golpe rápido, one quick blow-
