Context
A group of students is huddled in a high school classroom during a lockdown. Nobody knows if the lockdown is real or a drill and they are becoming increasingly anxious. Their teacher has left the room to go after a freshman student who ran out in fear. The students have just heard a PA announcement that the school is still on lockdown. In the middle of the announcement, there was a muffled sound and the intercom suddenly went dead. They are now in a panic and still unsure what is going on.
