Context
Linda is in a nightclub on her bachelorette (hen) party. However, she is not a happy bride-to-be, but is instead plagued with doubts about her upcoming nuptials. Peter is Linda’s ex-boyfriend, who has moved to London and is in a mildly successful band. He is creative and ambitious, and doesn’t understand why anyone wants to stay in Liverpool. His unexpected presence at the venue forces Linda to reconsider whether she is truly ready to commit to a life with Dave.
