Ray: I just
Lydia: I’m standing here trying to figure it out—something you’re not saying.
Ray: I missed you.

End: Ray: And this was gonna be on national television, and they’d put a phone number on the lower part of the screen for you to call, and I’d stand, with the ring, and with my medal, and I’d just wait, the television cameras all watching me, you at home, watching me, and I’d wait for your call, and I wouldn’t leave, I’d just stay there, and wait, even if it took the rest of my life.
