Context
Brothers Peter and Jack are arguing outside of a bar in Manhattan. Jack has just prevented Peter from proposing to his girlfriend and Peter is really angry that Jack is screwing everything up. Jack used to be a suit in finance like Peter, but he has turned his life around and now works in a hospice for terminally ill children. Jack's change in outlook on life annoys Peter, and he accuses his brother of being overly sanctimonious and serious about life.
