Anon, a refugee boy traveling the US in search of his mother, is rescued from the authorities by Pascal, another refugee. Following Pascal’s lead, Anon hides in an underground tunnel, escapes from giant rats and drugged-out Shadow people, and hops a freight train, heading out under the stars in search of temporary employment.
