Context
The African Grove Theatre has been shuttered by the local Constable, who claims that it is both a fire hazard and a place of disorderly conduct. In response, Billy Brown (the manager of the theatre) decides to find a new location for the play--the City Hotel, where actor Jimmy Hewlett works. More than that, their production of Richard III will rival the production of Richard III at the Park Theatre, right next door to the City Hotel.
