Context
Lisa is the high school prom queen who died by suicide before Stuart attempted to take his own life. He remembers her from school, while she can’t quite place him. Even though Lisa died before Stuart’s attempt, she is new in limbo, emphasizing that time doesn’t make much sense. Lisa is hungry and desperate to find food, not yet knowing the rules, including no eating, no sleeping, and no crying. She is hostile towards Stuart, seeing him as an example of all “men” that lie and cheat.
