Context
This is the first one-to-one dialogue in the play. Agnetha and Ralph are together in the his cell at a maximum security prison. Agnetha has chosen the convicted serial killer, Ralph, as the final case study for her research. Ralph is initially abusive but assents to being polite and letting Agnetha monitor his behavior. She looks out for jerky, uncontrolled movements and carries out a series of tests. Ralph becomes disconcerted when he realizes that he cannot control himself in front of her.
