Context
Madge is a mysterious woman who shows up at the Twin Oaks Tavern and filling station, needing help with her car. Frank Chambers meets her and the two begin flirting as she tempts him to go away with her--to leave the tavern and Cora, the woman whose husband he helped kill. Frank considers leaving, especially with a woman who wants to escape as much as he does.
