Overview
Synopsis
Bondage, a one-act play set in an S&M parlor in Los Angeles, explores the relationship between Terri, the dominatrix, and Mark, her submissive. The two are dressed from head-to-toe in leather, so the audience cannot see their identities. Their erotic games explore the sexual stereotypes of various ethnicities. At first, Terri pretends to be a blonde bimbo, while Mark is Chinese. The second scenario sees Terri become a sexually voracious African American, while Mark is Caucasian. For the third scene, they both become geeky Asians. Their fantasies never play out, however, because they are always interrupting each other for personal chat. The two have been at this so long that they care more about each other than they do their fantasies. Only when they decide to drop the role-playing do they achieve real intimacy.
