Overview
Synopsis
Harry Berlin has decided to end his misery by jumping off a bridge. His plans suddenly change when his old roommate, Milt Manville, happens to walk by. At first glance, Harry and Milt seem to have completely different lives: Harry has no ambition, no wife, and no career. Milt has a high-paying job, a house in the suburbs, and a doting wife. It turns out Milt is just as miserable as Harry. Desperate to escape a failed marriage and be with his mistress, Milt seizes the opportunity and convinces Harry to take his wife, Ellen. But Milt and Ellen find their new lives even more miserable, creating a farcical love triangle with not much love.
Luv’s Broadway premiere was a success and led to a 1967 film adaptation and a musical titled What About Luv? in 1984.
