Overview

Synopsis

Taking place in 1907, the show concerns vaudeville performer Lottie Gibson and her love affair with the Shakespearean actor, Dennis Emery. However, it turns out that Dennis comes with quite a bit of baggage. First, he needs $1000 to get his show back on the road. Thus, in a bid to help Dennis, Lottie jumps out of a hot air balloon at 3000 feet in order to earn the prize money. Then, Dennis' ex-wife arrives with his bitter 17-year-old daughter, Betsy. Betsy has no desire to share her father with anyone. In the end, Lottie manages to win over both Betsy and Dennis.
