Overview

Synopsis

When the orphaned Dick and Susie Trevor are evicted and living on the street with a thunderstorm on the horizon, they are eager to sacrifice him- or herself to help the other. In desperation, they crash the garden party of wealthy Jo Vanderwater for a free meal. Dick loves Shirley Vernon but is ashamed to pursue her because of his financial situation. Jo is interested in Dick, and it turns out that she was behind the eviction, as a ploy to get his attention. Meanwhile Susie finds herself falling for Jack, a charming, but seemingly penniless, man she meets at the party. Luckily, all turns out well when Jack turns out to be worth millions! Thus Susie marries Jack; Dick is able to marry his love, Shirley; and the wealthy lawyer, Watty, marries the equally wealthy Josephine.
