Overview

Synopsis

Arthur Przybyszewski runs the dilapidated Superior Donuts shop in Uptown Chicago. A disillusioned hippie, Arthur has just had to fire his only employee, vandals have just spray painted a vulgar word on his shop, and his cantankerous neighbor, Max, is still desperate to buy out the shop. On top of everything, Arthur is dealing with the aftermath of his ex-wife’s recent death. But things suddenly change when an energetic young man named Franco shows up to apply for a job. An unlikely friendship forms, changing both Arthur and Franco’s perspectives on life.

Superior Donuts was adapted into a short-lived TV sitcom in 2017.
