Synopsis
Pinkalicious adores the color pink. She wants everything to be the color pink, including her food. When Pinkalicious cannot stop eating pink cupcakes, she comes down with a case of “Pinkititis” which causes her to turn completely pink! At first, Pinkalicious is thrilled to be sporting her favorite color, but she must find a cure for her Pinkititis. Pinkalicious is joined by her family as they try to solve her pink predicament, learning a lesson of acceptance and unity along the way. This TYA show has quickly become an audience favorite and is sure to be the hit of the season with young theatre fans.

Context
Pinkalicious the Musical is based on a book series by the same name by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann. There are almost 50 books in the series and the books have been adapted into a television show on PBS that premiered in 2018. The stories center around a girl named Pinkalicious Pinkerton who loves the color pink. In 2007, Pinkalicious was adapted into a 50-minute musical in which Pinkalicious must learn self-control. The show is recommended for ages 4 and up.

In the home of the Pinkerton family, Pinkalicious is in the kitchen, eyeing a batch of pink cupcakes. She is an energetic little girl who adores the color pink (“Prologue”). Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pinkerton are very busy with work and often don’t have time for fun.
