
Overview
Synopsis
The story concerns an Irish-American boxer, John Enright, who has returned back to his village after killing a man in the ring. John has vowed never to fight again. However, trouble ensues when he tries to woo a tempestuous Irish village girl, Ellen Roe. Ellen expects her man to stand up and fight. In the end, John ends up in a vicious fight with Ellen’s brother, Will. As a result, John earns the respect of both John and Ellen and all is well.
