Overview

Synopsis

Some Like It Hot: A New Musical Comedy is based on the 1959 classic film comedy starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Marilyn Monroe. Set during the prohibition era, Some Like It Hot follows two musicians, Joe and Jerry, who have witnessed a gangland killing in a nightclub in Chicago. To escape the gang of Spats Columbo, who wants them dead before they can testify against him, Joe and Jerry become Josephine and Daphne, dressing as women and joining an all-girl band that's traveling via train across the country from Chicago to California. A delightful, tap dance-filled show with lots of crazy situations, slamming doors, wacky characters, and --ultimately-- love and self-discovery, Some Like It Hot comes to Broadway for a new audience in a new way.
