Synopsis

Sunny Afternoon is the hip, smart, funny, rocking ’n’ rolling story of 1960s London band The Kinks. Headed by brothers Ray and Dave Davies, The Kinks quickly rose to stardom with their landmark hit “You Really Got Me.” Fame soon proves to be a rocky road for the band to climb —demanding tour schedules, union disagreements, and slimy business sharks hound the band at every turn. The commercial music industry constantly ask the boys to compromise their artistic vision. These professional roadblocks may not endanger The Kinks future nearly as much as tempestuous personality clashes between the boys themselves.

A rocking score of The Kinks many hits comes alive at the hands of the cast onstage. A perfect portrait the changing music scene in 1960s London, Sunny Afternoon is a fun, poignant ride sure to get the whole audience dancing.
