Overview

Synopsis

Two men stumble, fighting, out of the door of an upmarket bar in Manhattan. Peter, who works in finance, was about to propose to his girlfriend, Amy, before his brother, Jack, prevented him from going through with it. Jack does not want Peter to marry Amy as he does not believe she's right for him. Jack cannot stand her and argues that no one else can either. However, Peter is not prepared to put up with Jack's protestations, even when Jack takes the engagement ring hostage. Peter fights back, belittling Jack for choosing to give up a job in finance to work at a terminal illness hospice for children. He argues that Peter just wants to swoop in and save everyone, which is what he wants to do here. The brothers are unable to reconcile and agree on Peter's future, and Jack is forced to step back and let Peter carry on.
