Prologue

We meet Pablo and Tania in their new home (a fixer-upper) and their new neighbors, Frank and Virginia, in the home they have lived in for years. They speak to the audience and describe how Virginia and Frank welcomed Pablo and Tania to the neighborhood with wine and chocolate, and Tania reveals her excitement about their backyard with a beautiful big tree,

First Vignette-Monday Afternoon

Tania is 8 months pregnant and is outside pulling out weeds. She is in her element, happy and singing. Pablo enters wearing a nice suit.

Scene One-Monday Afternoon

Pablo is home early from work and confesses to Tania that he invited his whole firm over to the house at the end of the week. Tania is mortified because their house is nowhere near ready for guests, but Pablo explains that he felt like he had to invite them because he is the only person of color in the office and has to prove himself if he ever wants to make Partner.
