Overview

Synopsis

In a mysterious, undisclosed location in some fictional country, three men work in an industrial compound. Hanrahan and Dobbitt check the products, and Merkin heads the department. They live in a world dominated by corporate bureaucracy, and none of them are sure that they like it. This world has dehumanized them, as they do not even love their wives the same way as they once did. Ultimately, no matter the situation in which these three are, the system, the bureaucracy in which they work and live, is victorious. The comic interplay among these men, one bullying and truculent, one ambitious and evasive, and the third a trembling mass of insecurity and arrogance is irresistibly funny. As they comically maneuver in their pointless quest for status, sinister little animals encroach on the compound.
