Overview
Synopsis
An African graduate student named Azmera is having panic attacks, and she looks to a prominent psychologist, Philip, to give her help. He specializes in a kind of hypnosis similar to a trance, and he places her in one in order to find out her problems. She ends up discussing some incident that she witnessed in an African village, though her descriptions include gaps in her memories. Philip places her in a deeper trance and slowly realizes just how important her memories of this event really are. A reporter, Beth, wants to break the story to the world, though she is uncertain of the strength of Azmera’s testimony to stand on its own. An official in the State Department, Logan, is brought in, and Beth wants to use him in order to investigate the truth of the matter.
