Synopsis
Mamet's one-act play takes the lead character from Speed-the-Plow, grabs him out of bed in his PJs, and plops him into the waiting room of hell. He is to be interviewed by the devil, who has had to interrupt his fishing trip for this, much to his annoyance. The subject of the interrogation is Bobby's past sins, but Bobby argues that he's not such a bad guy. When Glenna, a ditzy woman who feels she was mistreated by Bobby, pops in, Bobby and the devil end up bonding over their utter bafflement at women. Hell is appointed as a plush men's club, one where, no doubt, women would not be allowed.
