Overview
Synopsis
At Milford Junction Railway Station, a housewife named Laura Jesson awaits the train home after a day of shopping. There is something in her eye, and a doctor, Alec Harvey, takes it out. They see each other again the next summer and decide to have lunch together and go to the movies, as they enjoy each other's company. Eventually, they realize that they are in love, even though Alec is married. However, shortly later, they realize that the affair cannot continue. A year after first meeting, Alec is going to work abroad. Laura goes to bid him farewell, but a friend of hers arrives, so all they can do is shake hands.
