Overview
Synopsis
What happens when the lives of an awkward math teacher, a teenage prodigy, and a hardened origami artist collide? Ilana Andrews is perfectly content to stay holed up in her apartment making origami figures, until her biggest fan, Andy, suddenly shows up. A math teacher by day and origami enthusiast by night, Andy introduces Ilana to his 18-year-old student Suresh. It seems Suresh is something of a child prodigy--a math genius with an extraordinary ability to create intricate origami figures on pure instinct. These three people are about as fragile as the delicate origami pieces that fill Ilana’s studio apartment, and they’ll change each others’ lives in ways they couldn’t have imagined. This three-person, language-driven play uses the metaphor of origami to look at how relationships intersect and leave their mark, for better or worse.
