Overview

Synopsis

John Chodd, Junior is rich. In the eyes of Lady Ptarmigant, that makes him a fine candidate to marry her niece, Maud. But Maud is in love with her childhood sweetheart, the poor writer Sidney Daryl. Unfortunately, both Maud and Ptarmigant are equally headstrong and refuse to back down. Ptarmigant seems to win the upper hand when she announces Maud and Chodd’s marriage in the newspaper, leading Sidney to think she has betrayed him and renounce her forever.

Will true love win the day? Or can money really buy everything?
