Overview
Synopsis
The Aliens tells the story of two young men who frequent a coffee shop in Vermont and the young employee they decide to take under their wing. Jasper and KJ are disillusioned New England thirty-somethings who regularly meet behind the coffee shop to discuss poetry and music. When Evan, a new hire, shows up, they welcome him into their merry band of misfits. The Aliens is one of Annie Baker’s three Vermont Plays--all of which are set in the fictional town of Shirley, Vermont. Aliens premiered at the Rattlestick Theatre in New York in 2010, starring Michael Chernus, Dane DeHaan, and Eric Gann, and winning the Obie Award for Best New American Play.
