Teddy Alexis Rodriguez was born in Ponce, PR where he attended the Ponce School of Performing Arts. After that he studied Theatre in the University of Puerto Rico. There he became the president of the student organization TeatRUM and the improv group Gulemberias. He participated in many plays including Voces, Trafico Pesado and Mambo Italiano. Later he transferred to the Rio Piedras Campus where he joined the prestigious group Teatro Lirico. Later, he moved to Lubbock to obtain his doctorate in theatre where he participated in local productions of Lubbock Community Theatre and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals.
