Val is a performer and theatre-maker based in Alberta, Canada. She holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Calgary, where she specialized in early Renaissance dramatic texts. Her passion for classic plays lead her to become an artistic associate and later artistic producer for Theatre Encounter, a company specializing in alternative interpretation of classical texts. She produces and performs in up to two productions per year with Theatre Encounter, while also making time to play well with others in the Canadian theatre community.
