Since its inception in 1974, the Orange Players continues to bring together its devotion for the performing arts and to the community. This powerful combination affords the ability to draw from many resources to bring quality performances to the stage, and allows seasoned and unseasoned theater lovers an opportunity to participate in a wide range of performance genres, both on the stage and behind the scenes. Theater is something everyone can be involved in - whether writing, directing, producing, performing, sewing costumes, operating light or sound boards, designing programs, stage managing, organizing properties, designing and building sets, selling tickets, greeting patrons, handing out programs, ushering, supporting us in the audience, sponsoring…the list is endless.
The Orange Players provides opportunities for all individuals to expand their talents, learn new skills, challenge themselves, and become part of a supportive and interactive network while building lasting friendships and wonderful memories. Adding to the continued successes of dramatic plays, comedies, and musicals which the theatre is best known for, is the community outreach program comprised of several very talented members bringing readings and musical performances to senior citizen groups, senior living residences and other community organizations on a regular basis. The newest addition to our regular season on stage is the highly successful “Acting Up!”, an evening of unpublished, original one act plays.
