About Theatre Tulsa

Theatre Tulsa is the longest-lasting local theatre west of the Mississippi River, and the seventh oldest in the United States. For nine decades and counting, Theatre Tulsa has been a vital part of Green Country’s culture – entertaining, educating, and inspiring Tulsans of all ages through the power of theatre.

Theatre Tulsa presents the best local theatre, brought to life by Tulsa’s brightest talent. Our recent shows include blockbusters Legally Blonde: The Musical (2013), Les Misérables (2014), and Chicago (2015); all-time favorites Hamlet (2012) and The Sound of Music (2014); fresh new hits The 39 Steps (2015) and Next To Normal (2015); and contemporary classics, like the Tulsa premiere of Clybourne Park (2014), the Oklahoma premiere of Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike (2014), and the first-ever American production of The Pitmen Painters (2011).

Beyond our mainstage offerings, the Theatre Tulsa Play Series brings the most groundbreaking work in contemporary theatre to Oklahoma, while Theatre Tulsa Academy presents family friendly fare both kids and adults will love.

Theatre Tulsa’s contributions to Tulsa’s artistic and cultural landscape go far beyond the stage. Theatre Tulsa is a local Tulsa icon, and a national treasure. Guided by our mission, empowered by our people, Theatre Tulsa remains just as vital and relevant to Tulsa today as it was more than 90 years ago.
