In addition to world-class theatre and dance productions, the Department of Theatre and Dance offers our students the rigorous instruction and experience necessary to succeed in the professional world.
We are one department, but our theatre and dance students are able to immerse themselves in their individual programs of study through performance spaces and opportunities not just for actors and dancers, but also for our scenic, costume, and lighting designers, aspiring teachers, and directors and choreographers. At USC, you can learn almost anything about the world of theatre and dance performance. The theatre and dance programs boast talented faculty, as well as visiting guest artists and alumni working professionally in all facets of the theatre and dance arts.
With areas of study focused on acting, directing, design, stagecraft, teaching, and research, our theatre program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to learn, to practice, and to chart their own course.
