Nothing can be more exciting than seeing an unfamiliar play for the first time. That is why we strive at the Acting Ensemble to bring plays never performed in the area before. Our patrons often comment that one of the reasons they attend our performances is that they never know what to expect, and that they appreciate seeing something different and new.
Now Michiana audiences can experience awarding winning plays by contemporary playwrights, the newest plays, including Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winners all in their area premieres.
Many of the plays we perform ask our audiences to take a step outside their comfort zone and see the world in a different light, to experience different emotions, to be entertained in new ways. We believe that theatre has the power to transform us.
Our Theatre for Young Audiences series introduces the next generation of theatre audiences to intellectually challenging plays performed by adult actors for young viewers. Written by award winning playwrights, these plays not only entertain but take children on a journey to a whole newlevel of theatre experience.
