DEFIANCE COMMUNITY PLAYERS was born in 1973 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, (formerly known as the town of Defiance). The original members were happy to perform wherever there was space; local schools, restaurants, in the park. Our Goal is to provide a great live theater experience for the audience, cast, and crew. Performing Arts Education has always been a priority for us. Professional artists work side by side with students of varying experience. We are a true community theater group. Many families have grown together and grown up with us.
In the spirit of community, we are a group of volunteers who love the performing arts. We invite everyone to join us in all aspects of theater: actors, singers, dancers, musicians, costumers, technicians, directors, choreographers, set designers, graphic artists, painters, carpenters, electricians, producers, bookkeepers, organizers, fundraisers, and YOU!
