Studio D School of Dance has taken pride in making its home in the Shuerman Opera House in Downtown Griffin for 25 years.
Built in 1870, it housed Shuerman’s Theatre upstairs. The theatre was used to present plays until 1894. The historic building has been renovated to provide one of the largest and finest facilities for dance in the state. The ground floor includes two large dance rooms and the second floor ballet room has an 18″ ceiling with a 35″ by 55″ floor space. Studio D is dedicated to providing the finest in dance education with a professional staff in an atmosphere which encourages growth, development of skills, and self confidence. In addition, it’s aim is to provide exposure to art, music and theatre which will inspire each student in a growing appreciation of the arts.
