The Village Players contributes to the culture of the community by offering opportunities for adults and youth to participate in all aspects of the theater arts from acting in high quality, diverse plays and musicals, to working behind the scenes as a part of a production team, to writing original plays to developing theater programs for youth, to encouraging an overall interest in and enthusiasm for theater in our community.
The Village Players typically presents 5 major productions annually (a mix between musicals and dramatic shows). Each production runs between 6 and 8 shows. The Village Youth Theater presents two musicals annually, one in December and one in June. It also holds a four-week Summer Theater Arts Camp in June and July and runs workshops throughout the year. Playwrights @ Work hosts a Shorts and Sweets program in the spring and fall and a One-Act Weekend annually in July.
