Merit Theatre Company

Merit Theatre Company was founded in 2017 to make a difference in our communities by offering high quality, inspiring, family-friendly productions and providing a welcoming environment for performers and patrons of all ages. With a vision to stage stories that speak to the heart, Benjamin and Kaitlyn Iocco founded Northern Kentucky Community Theater (NKYCT) when they produced and directed the Kentucky premiere of the new musical, Horizons of Gold. A year later, NKYCT became Merit Theatre Company and became an official nonprofit.

Though our name changed, who we are didn’t. Committed to striving for excellence in all we do, we are based in Northern Kentucky but work with talent from across the Tri-state area. Currently, summer musicals are held at the Anderson Center in Cincinnati, OH, and concerts are held at Parrish Auditorium in Hamilton, OH.
