We are a group of educators who wanted to provide Genesee County middle school and high school students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers on a musical theatre production. While each local district offered a great drama program to their respective students during the school year, we wanted to bring kids from around the county together in the summer months to learn more about theatre and have fun putting on a show. We launched our first production, “Hairspray,” in 2017 through a partnership with the Carman-Ainsworth Drama Club. We are building on the success of that show to continue the program, and we are excited to expand our offerings to include technical workshops in addition to our annual musical.
