On The Air Radio Players (OTARP) is an evolving group of actors, musicians, and sound effects artists with a passion for re-creating live old-time radio shows on stage. For over twenty years, OTARP has kept the Golden Age of Radio alive onstage in Richmond. We at OTARP love these shows, and we love sharing them with new audiences.
Sponsored by the County of Henrico Department of Recreation and Parks, OTARP offers free admission to its live performances at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. All our shows are also recorded, and are available on our recordings page. If you are interested in being a part of OTARP, contact us or come out to the audition for our next show! Since 2011, OTARP has held an annual scriptwriting contest to present new and original radio dramas. Winners have included writers from the Richmond area, across the country, and around the world. We are excited to continue this forum for writers who continue to work in the medium of radio drama.
