The Orpen Players were formed in 1969 and have been presenting local theatre to the Village of West Bergholt ever since! In that time we have established a reputation for presenting quality productions and our recent pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, sold out on all six performances. We are based at The Orpen Hall in West Bergholt and meet every Monday and Friday evening during our theatrical programme during which we aim to produce three shows a year during the autumn, winter and spring seasons. The winter show is always a pantomime that is presented over two weeks at the end of January and beginning of February. This is always a very communal production with lots of members from the very young, to those of a ‘certain age’ and is often the opportunity for our younger members to gain valuable experience. The autumn and spring shows are often a mixture of drama and comedy and more often than not adult cast.
