Overview
About Queensland Musical Theatre
Queensland Musical Theatre was founded by Brian and Denise Cahill in June 1984 with the aim of furthering the cultural opportunities for people of all ages in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. Its inaugural production – My Fair Lady – was staged in November of that year. Shortly afterwards QMT's activities spread to all parts of Brisbane and South-East Queensland. Each year QMT stages two major musical productions in Brisbane. In addition to musicals, Gilbert and Sullivan shows, operetta and concert work, QMT has had great success with sung-through musicals such as Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar and Miss Saigon.
