About Cygnet Players

Cygnet Players was established as an amateur musical theatre group in 1997, and are NODA affiliated.

The company is run by a small committee who donate their time to ensure both artistic and financial success for the company. Have a look at the committee page to find out more.

Over the years since being established, Cygnet Players has developed into an exciting musical theatre group based in South West London which performs shows or concerts twice yearly, as well as an annual play. We have an ever-growing membership, aged from 16 - 60, but we're always looking for new talent. Rehearsals are twice weekly in Southfields (Tuesdays and Thursdays plus Sundays nearer show dates) and we generally perform in or near to Putney.

The society is a mix of people from all walks of life, who share a common interest. Whilst we pride ourselves on putting on high quality shows, we never forget that amateur theatre is a hobby and that it should be fun - you'll find us a very sociable bunch. Take a look at our calendar of events to see what we are involved in outside of shows.

Rehearsals usually spill over into the local pub and our social activities include bowling nights, quizzes, pub nights and our annual barbecue and 'Cygnets Entertain' nights are always full of surprises.

Everyone has one thing in common: we don't want to sit at home every night, watching television!
