Where to begin? Every season we push ourselves to try to top the season before and this year is no exception! In fact, there is almost too much to list here.
It all starts September 21st when Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performer Darlene Love kicks off the 2019 - 2020 season. That's just the start. Our season will include great artists like Rodney Marsalis and the Philadelphia Brass Band, Internationally famed guitarist Diego Figueiredo with Ken Peplowski - ""the greatest living jazz clarinetist"", as well as Lincoln Center and NPR star Sam Reider and the Human Hands for an evening of music described as a ""mash-up of the Klezmatics, Quintette du Hot Club de France and the Punch Brothers.""
Our theatre season kicks off in October with the classic chestnut GHOST TRAIN, a comedy-mystery-horror story that first graced the stage in 1925. Our holiday show will be the enchanted Broadway classic BEAUTY and the BEAST, and one of Neil Simon's funniest plays, THE SUNSHINE BOYS will return to the Sitnik stage to launch off 2020. In addition to these great plays, we will have the World Premiere of TURNING by Darrah Cloud, a new play about the very first US women's gymnastics team (which included a one-time Hackettstown resident) as they crossed the Atlantic to compete in the controversial 1936 Olympics.
Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Our Fringe Festival returns with great plays, and of course the New Jersey Ballet returns for two performances featuring Aaron Copeland's Rodeo with choreography by Agnes de Mille and the children's classic Hansel and Gretel.
There's just too much to mention here so browse around and we'll...
See you at the Theatre!
