The Zaantheater is the stage for Zaanstad and the surrounding area and offers a large, varied selection. From cabaret, opera, dance, musical, concerts, plays, to international shows and youth shows: there is something for everyone in the beautiful, modern building on the Zaan.
There are premieres of large national productions, but also projects for specific target groups such as the Children's Book Week Party and the Toddler Festival. For those who prefer going out during the day, there is the Theater series on the Tuesday afternoon. For everyone who prefers not to go out alone, there is the Samen Uit Salon. Of course there are also many activities for children and young people.
The Zaantheater is also a unique location for corporate parties, congresses and receptions and for performances by amateurs.
