About Capitol Center for the Arts

The CCA believes in the power of arts experiences to shape lives and strengthen community bonds. To that end, CCA’s mission is to serve both area residents and virtual and in-person visitors from near and far through live dynamic engagements with performing artists that inspire, educate, and entertain, deepening human-to-human connections, expanding community vitality, and generating economic growth. For over twenty-five years the1300-seat Chubb Theatre at the Capitol Center for the Arts has engaged outstanding performers from around the globe and welcomed patrons from throughout New Hampshire, New England and beyond to experience live music, theater, dance and comedy as well as the best in broadcast presentations of opera, ballet and theatre. A robust education series welcomes thousands of New Hampshire students grades K-12 each year for touring theatrical productions based on literature, art, music and even math and science.

The Capitol Center also houses The Governor’s Hall, a full-service function room that can accommodate up to 350 guests, and the adjacent Kimball House, a Victorian mansion featuring a stately, formal dining room, library, parlor and board room. These spaces are all available for private rental.
