About Dougherty Valley High School
Dedicated to creating a strong program in the performing arts, the Thespians of Dougherty Valley High School perform three major productions per year, including a yearly musical and student directed one-acts. In addition to these productions, the students have organized an Improvisational theatre group presenting comedic impromptu performances to the delight of many.
A variety of Theatre Arts classes are available at DVHS and provide students with excellent communication skills in a challenging and supportive atmosphere while maintaining rigorous academic standards that adhere to the UC and CSU requirements.
Participation in the productions is by audition only and available to all members of the DVHS student body.
