Spotlight Theatre

Mission

To educate, empower and develop creativity through the performing arts. We support risk-taking, encourage bravery, teach respect for self and others and give God the praise in all things.

Vision

At Spotlight Theater we strive to

• Foster a love of the Arts.

• Learn lifelong skills such as communication, cooperation, self expression, and critical thinking through rehearsal and performance.

• Encourage character development, personal growth and self confidence.

• Be a Godly role model for the community.

Spotlight theater will be a place where the youth of Douglas County will be provided the opportunity for artistic growth through musical theater instruction. There will be summer camps and 10 week sessions where students will be taught theater and performing arts skills. Each session will conclude with a high quality theatrical play and/or musical production. We aim to provide broad access to theatre experiences by offering programming that reaches out across diverse backgrounds to engage youth of all ages.

Spotlight Theater’s mission is to present and contribute to the community through theatrical experiences by promoting education and interest in theater and performing arts.
